Host Team
Parking Lot Greeter
Our Parking Volunteer Team consists of fun and enthusiastic men and women committed to make sure things run smoothly as you enter and exit Mt. Vernon Church each Sunday. They welcome you to church, guide you to a parking spot, and assist you with any needs you may have.
Connection Café
Our Connection Café Team serves our members and guests coffee and snacks as they arrive at Mt. Vernon each Sunday and during the fellowship time. They assist with the food preparation, organization, and management of our hospitality area.
Worship Team
Video Team
Our Video Team will help create an environment visually for worship by running our presentation software called Pro Presenter on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. Requirements: Be a part of an overall team, participate in a training time to learn Pro presenter, run Pro presenter for both services on Sunday morning and/or one service on Wednesday nights, arrive at 7:30 a.m. on Sundays and 5:15 p.m. on Wednesdays to check the videos and overall layout of the service.
Sound Team
Our Sound Team will work with pastoral staff to create an environment on Sundays and Wednesdays by operating soundboard, monitors, and all aspects that pertain to sound for the service. Must be flexible, teachable, and have previous experience. Requirements: Must have previous experience in mixing sound, must be flexible and able to follow directions, must be able to handle critiques, must mix how the pastoral staff envisions the service to sound, arrive at 7:30 a.m. on Sundays and 5:15 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Tech Team
Our Tech Team will work with worship pastor to make sure that all microphone cables and instrument cables are connected and routed to correct inputs as well as check all batteries in wireless mics, and turn sound board, amps, TV’s, projector, and computers on in the worship service. Make sure the stage is neat and ready for services. Requirements: Must have a servant’s heart, arrive at 7:20 a.m. on Sunday mornings to check batteries and turn sound/ video systems on, must be flexible and able to follow directions.
Creative Team
Our Creative Team will think artistically and outside of the box on how we can create an environment for the services by using modern art and design. Requirements: Be able to meet periodically to think through ways we can enhance the service and overall environment using modern art, Must be flexible, Must have an open mind and be open to critique, Must think in terms of modern/contemporary art and design (not southern living), must be able to meet deadlines.
DiscoveryZone
DiscoveryZone Volunteer Team provides a loving place for children from birth through 4 year olds to begin to learn how much God loves them. Our DiscoveryZone Team consist of adults and youth (9th-12th grade can serve along side of an adult). On Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, you have an opportunity to serve as a group leader or a helper.
KidZone
KidZone is an exciting time on Sundays and Wednesdays for Kindergarten through 5th Graders. Our KidZone Team consist of enthusiastic and energetic men, women, and youth (9th-12th grade can serve along side of an adult) who serve as small group leaders, large group leaders, & worship leaders. You have an opportunity to serve on Sunday mornings or Wednesday nights.
Student Ministry
Assistants for LifeGroups
Enthusiastic men and women who can assist with Middle School or High School small groups.
Wednesday Nights
Energetic men and women who are flexible to assist with our time of worship with students. Work with powerpoint, video, Café, sound, and be a greeter.
Activities/ Events
Assist with events designed for students to be able to invite friends to and just hang out. Such as, SuperBowl party, Flag Football Tournament, and Scavenger Hunts.
Camps/ Retreat/ Mission Trips
Assist in preparing for our annual events. Such as, Lake Forest Ranch Retreat, BigStuf Camp, Atlanta Mission Trip
